Summary
This is Federal’s only .38 Special +P ammunition and is designed for personal defense. Velocities were very consistent, though a bit below Federal’s published specs (no doubt due to the short barrel on the LCR). I double-checked with Federal and they assured me that this ammunition will properly expand at the velocities produced in the LCR.
Crimp creep was essentially nonexistent in the tests and seems extremely unlikely ever to become an issue in the LCR. This ammunition is highly recommended.
