Summary
The performance of the Winchester Super-X ammunition varied from test to test. The test cartridges lasted 7, 10 and 19 firings before exceeding the test threshold. The effect on velocity was also quite unpredictable.
As is the case with Winchester’s Platinum Tip, the Super-X is probably best put to uses other than in a backup gun.
